摘要
We report on heat capacity measurements in the temperature range between 40 mK and 35 K of a single crystal of the spin-Peierls compound CuGeO3. It exhibits a sharp anomaly at T-C = 14.2K corresponding to a second order phase transition with strong critical fluctuations. Below 6K analysis of data is compatible with an exponential decay of the magnetic contribution: the corresponding energy gap agrees with the B.C.S. theory.
