摘要
The authors carried out a study of the behavior of the metallic cluster Sn[Co(CO)4]4 as a catalyst of olefin hydroformylation. In this study, a comparison was made of the hydroformylation of hexene-1 using both Co2(CO)8 and the tin-cobalt cluster Sn[Co(CO)4]4 as catalysts. It was found that, while the cluster showed a lower hydroformylation activity than the other catalyst, only the cluster is capable of catalyzing an acetalization reaction together with hydroformylation, thus confirming its bifunctional character.
