SOUND-ATTENUATION AND DISPERSION IN MICROEMULSIONS

摘要
A time-dependent Ginzburg-Landau model for sound propagation in microemulsions and sponge phases is studied by field-theoretic perturbation methods. We calculate sound attenuation and dispersion as a function of the structural properties of microemulsions. The results predict a maximum in the sound attenuation, and a shoulder in the dispersion, which are characteristic for strongly structured microemulsions.
