摘要
Two varieties of spring or winter peas (Pisum Sativum L.) incorporated at 45% as raw or extruded source of protein were compared in a starter diet for early weaned piglets. Twenty four male piglets were fitted with a termino-terminal ileo rectal anastomosis by a surgical operation performed 3 days after weaning at 3 weeks of age. The ileal digestibility of major nutrients including starch and alpha-galactosides was determined during two successive periods of 7 days. Total digestibility was measured on 24 additional intact piglets used in a similar 2 x 2 factorial arrangement involving 6 replicates per treatment. The surgical procedure dit not affect pancreas weight and total or specific activity of major digestive pancreatic enzymes. Extrusion increased the in vitro rate of hydrolysis of starch by pancreatic amylase, and stimulated the activity of amylase, chymotrypsin and carboxypeptidase A in the pancreatic tissue. As a consequence, ileal apparent digestibility of dietary nitrogen amounting to 65.7% for raw winter pea diet, was increased to 78.4% after extrusion, that of starch was increased from 94.4 to 99.1%. Ileal digestibility of alpha-galactosides averaging 75.7% was not affected by period or treatment. A marked increase in the postprandial serum glucose and insulin level was observed in animals fed extruded peas; both could stimulate the biosynthesis of pancreatic enzymes. Apparent ileal digestibility of starch and nitrogen measured on piglets could be considered as efficient parameters to evaluate the post weaning digestive adaptation to new sources of protein containing ANF(s) such as leguminous seeds.
