OBSERVATION OF A VOLUME MINIMUM IN COMPUTER-SIMULATIONS OF SUPERCOOLED, AMORPHOUS SILICA

摘要
Constant tensorial pressure, constant temperature molecular dynamics simulations are used to study simple models of amorphous silica. A volume minimum upon quenching from the liquid to the glassy state has been observed. Structural, thermal and mechanical properties are also studied.
