摘要
In order to investigate interactions between the guest transition metal atom (Ni) and the host TiS2, inverse photoemission spectra are measured for in situ cleaved Ni1/3TiS2 intercalation compounds and for Ni adsorbed TiS2. We have found an ordered superstructure formation for Ni adsorption at room temperature by RHEED measurement. The change of the inverse photoemission spectra near E(F) with intercalation or adsorption is interpreted by considering the interaction between the Ni d(z)2 and Ti d(z)2 states.
