摘要
The aim of this paper is to describe the morphological variation present within the fluted terrain of the Highland ice-field which existed in the Scottish Highlands during the Loch Lomond Stadial (Younger Dryas). Three types of fluted landform are identified in the Torridon area: (1) 'hummocky-flutes'; (2) regular megaflutes; (3) streamlined hills. The morphological characteristics and mode of formation of each of these three types of fluted terrain is discussed and their distribution within other parts of the Highland ice-field is examined.
