摘要
A new milestone has been reached in the separation and detection of the chemical contents inside a single red blood cell, which has a volume of only 90 fl. Three laser-based monitoring techniques are employed. These are in vivo derivatization of glutathione, indirect detection of Na and K by charge displacement and UV-excited native protein fluorescence.
