摘要
The conductivity of the conducting polymer polypyrrole was measured as a function of time t(a) during aging at 120 degrees C, and as a function of temperature T between 15 K and 300 K for various aging times. It is shown that the dependence of the conductivity with time and temperature for long aging times merges into a unified expression: ln{sigma(t(a), T)} proportional to - (t(a)/T)(1/2). Such a behaviour can be accounted for by a model in which the conductivity of aged polypyrrole is governed by a hopping mechanism between conducting clusters separated by an insulating layer, the thickness of which increases as root t(a).
