摘要
The discovery of the high Tc cuprate superconductor by Bednorz and Muller has triggered the efforts to better understand the electronic structure of metallic oxides. One of the most critical issues is the validity of the band concept for the highly correlated electron systems. Another point concerns how oxygen is involved in determining the Fermi surface. This is a short summary of experimental results which seem to contribute to the current understanding of the electronic structure of the cuprate superconducting families.
