摘要
The newly discovered forms of nuclear behavior at exotic shape configurations are discussed from the theoretical point of view. The main emphasis is set on superdeformed nuclei and the "strange" mechanisms influencing their properties. In particular the feeding properties, aligment, pairing properties and the problem of "anomalous degeneracies" are discussed.
