摘要
Investigations have been made on the influence of the preparation and sintering of various tin dioxide powders on the electrical properties of ceramic SnO2 gas sensors produced from these powders. The resistance response of these sensors has been studied on exposure to hydrogen and sulfur dioxide at temperatures up to 400-degrees-C. The best sensitivity is attained for hydrogen using tin dioxide with particle sizes of about 0.1-0.2 mum and deposition of Pd on the surface of the powder. The influence of the sintering temperature on the sensor properties, such as gas sensitivity or response time, is discussed.
