摘要
1. 1. The cuticular hydrocarbons of larvae of Tribolium destructor consist of n-alkanes (C14C17 and C25C31), 3-methylalkanes, internally branched alkanes (4-, 5-, 11-, 12-, 13-, 14-, and 15-methylalkanes), dimethylalkanes (5,11-, 5,13- and 4,14-dimethylalkanes) and olefines (pentadecene, pentadecadiene, pentadecatetraene, octadecatriene and two eicosenes). 2. 2. The hydrocarbons belong to two different groups in GC analyses according to mol. wts (Kováts' indices; 1370-2000 and 2500-3100). 3. 3. Alkenes are recognized as a solvent mixture for defence secretion of adult insects. Identification of these in larvae might suggest a more physiological function for them. 4. 4. The composition of cuticular hydrocarbons of larvae is like those of adult insects. © 1990.
