摘要：

It is interesting to extract underwater information from satellite data. The authors have tried to establish a drainage channel network chart of the Arcachon Basin (on the French west coast), by using unsupervised classification of LANDSAT-5 Thematic Mapper data acquired while the basin was completely covered with water. This study shows that satellite data supply information about submarine topography, making it possible to study underwater geomorphology at a certain depth with the data furnished by satellite.
