ENHANCED COHERENT INTERACTION IN 4-BEAM X-RAY INTERFERENCE IN CRYSTALS - A SOLUTION TO THE X-RAY PHASE PROBLEM USING WEAK 4-BEAM DIFFRACTION

摘要
An unexpected enhancement in the variation of the diffraction intensity due to a predominant three-wave coherent interaction is observed in a four-beam X-ray diffraction. This intensity anomaly is found to result from the modification of mode excitation and the competition between coherent and incoherent interactions in the diffraction process. This finding opens up a new way of solving the phase problem.
