摘要
We investigate the effect of an applied uniaxial stress on the electronic structure and optical properties of left bracket 1 1 1 right bracket growth-axis strained-layer superlattices. Large internal electric fields are present in such superlattices because of the piezoelectric effect. The applied uniaxial stress modulates these internal electric fields. The electronic structure and optical properties of the superlattice are therefore changed by variations in the Stark shifts of the superlattice energy levels as well as by deformation potential effects.
