摘要
Here we have illustrated the use of two natural products to explore the signaling processes involved in G0 to G1 and G1 to S phase transitions. Through their ability to specifically inhibit cellular processes, natural products serve as molecular probes to define critical components of complicated biochemical events. Thus, natural products chemistry in alliance with tools such as flow cytometry provide an excellent opportunity for chemists to meet the challenge of deciphering biological processes at a molecular level. © 1993, American Chemical Society.
