The influence of the modifier concentration on the thermal stabilization effect, the analyte loss kinetics, and the shape of the absorbance signal have been studied in the case of lead determination using a tungsten-containing chemical modifier The experimental results obtained were found to be in acceptable agreement with the theory of regular solutions Special attention has been paid to the model interpreting the problem of analyte loss kinetics as presented In the literature Already published general rules for selection of modifiers and opinions concerning the mechanism of thermal stabilization of the analyte have been critically discussed.
