摘要
A review is given of the microscopic and mesoscopic structure of binary liquid mixtures undergoing a metal to non-metal transition as a function of concentration (such as Metal-Ammonia and Metal-Molten Salts). We present recent progress and perspectives in the structural determination of the pure components (ND3, MX, M). Accurate partial structure factors of M-MX at concentrations rich in salt and rich in metal are discussed. Then we review Small Angle Neutron Scattering (SANS) measurements of correlation length (xi) for critical fluctuations and critical indices (gamma,eta,nu), away from and very near to the critical point for liquid-liquid immiscibility in M-ND3 and M-MX. Finally the likelihood of clustering is discussed.
