QUANTITATIVE PHOTOABSORPTION AND FLUORESCENCE SPECTROSCOPY OF SO2 AT 188-231NM AND 278.7-320NM

摘要
Absolute photoabsorption and relative fluorescence cross sections for SO2 have been measured in the 188-231 and 278.7-320 nm regions using an argon mini-arc light source. The absorption cross sections have been measured with an accuracy of +/- 3.1%; the most probable error for the fluorescence cross section is +/- 4.6%. The fluorescence quantum yields for SO2 have also been obtained in the two spectral regions.
