摘要
Anion exchange membranes were prepared with 2,3-epithlopropyl methacrylate (ETMA)-butyl methacrylate (BMA)-methacryloyloxyethyltrimethylammonium chloride (METAC) terpolymers. Transport of chloride ion and hydroxybenzoic acid (HBA) through the membranes was studied by using a system containing HCl (or NaCl) (left side) and NaOH (or KNO3) with or without NaCl (right side). Chloride ion was highly transported against its concentration gradient even from its neutral salt solution. The transport of Cl- through the membranes was significantly affected by the composition of the membranes and the initial NaOH or KNO3 concentration in receiving solution. The Cl- and o-HBA were transported against their concentration gradient when KNO3 solution was used as receiving solution.
