摘要
The spectroscopic properties of sodium europium beta-aluminogallate samples with 30, 50 and 70% gallium contents are investigated under site-selective laser excitation in the 5D0 --> F-7(0) region at liquid helium temperatures. Results show that at least two site distributions are present, one of which is representative of europium ions located in distorted BR sites. Site-to-site energy transfer by a multiple mechanism is observed to occur within the conduction plane and the effect of changing the gallium content is also investigated.
