摘要
An overview on the stability of separated flow (stratified and annular flow) is presented. The stability of separated flows is discussed using two approaches: the interfacial stability analysis and the structural stability analysis. For each case the stability of the steady state solutions has been examined, using linear and non-linear analyses. Both the interfacial and the structural stability analyses are needed for the complete information regarding the stability of the steady state solutions and the resulting how pattern transition.
