摘要
A novel wavelength tunable self-seeding configuration without classical wavelength selective elements is presented. A multimode gain-switched Fabry-Perot laser shows singlemode emission in this configuration. The extremely simple setup consists only of the laser diode,a fibre coupler and 1km of dispersion shifted fibre. The lasing wavelength is controlled by varying the repetition frequency. A sidemode suppression ratio better than 20dB over a 40nm tuning range is achieved.
