摘要
Heating-induced strain recovery of metallic glasses Ni60Nb40, Fe81B14Si5 and Co87Nb5Zr8 inelastically predeformed by torsion at various temperatures is investigated. It is determined that strain recovery measurements are a fine indicator of deformation mode. Inhomogeneous deformation results in formation of long-range internal stress fields and always leads to partial strain recovery on heating. Homogeneous deformation is accompanied by formation of local internal microstresses which are the reason of complete strain recovery. The transition from inhomogeneous to homogeneous deformation mode is determined mainly not by homologous testing temperature but by preliminary heat treatment.
