Wavelength tuning of inter-valence-band (IVB) laser oscillation in p-Ge is successfully carried out by incorporating a mechanically variable lamellar grating into the laser resonator. A wide tuning range (80-120 mum), comparable to the whole spectral domain of IVB oscillation (shorter-wavelength domain), is achieved with fixed electric and magnetic fields at liquid helium temperatures. The best spectral purity of the oscillation lines reaches the limit of instrumental resolution (DELTAlambda approximately 0.5 mum).
