摘要：

This paper provides a detailed analysis of developments in the UK defence industrial base over the last two decades. It considers the impact of the changes in procurement practices on industry over this period and in particular compares experience of the 80s and early 90s with the previous period. Data is brought together from a variety of sources including EXSTAT and DATASTREAM company account databanks.
