摘要
The thermal flattening of a sinusoidally grooved surface described by the SOS model is studied using Monte Carlo simulations. Particle transport by evaporation-condensation and by surface diffusion are considered. Both the shape of the profile and the relaxation time of the grooves are found to show significantly different features above and below the roughening transition temperature.
