SLIDING WEAR AND FRETTING FATIGUE RESISTANCE OF AMORPHOUS NI-P COATINGS

摘要
In this paper, methods of obtaining and evaluating amorphous Ni-P coatings are introduced. The sliding wear and fretting fatigue resistance of amorphous Ni-P coatings are investigated. Ni-P coatings remarkably increase the sliding wear resistance of chilled cast iron and the fretting fatigue resistance of low strength steel (2Cr13) and middle strength steel (35CrMo), but decrease the fretting fatigue resistance of high strength steel (60Si2Mn). Scanning electron micrographs show that Ni-P coatings modify the tribobehaviour of the surfaces of low and middle strength steel specimens under fretting fatigue conditions.
