摘要
This paper describes the experimental procedures and test vehicles used for the charactetization of the decoupling capacitor efficiency in reducing the power supply differential switching noise of the multichip-module package structure employed by the IBM ES/9000 system. The experimental results are summarized for various switching elements and demonstrate that the decoupling capacitor scheme under consideration has a 50-70% efficiency.
