BAND-GAP REFLECTIONS IN THE PHOTON BAND-STRUCTURE

摘要
We report experimental observation of band gap reflections in the photon band structure of an optical ring resonator. Band gap reflections are the basic phenomenon underlying Bloch oscillation. Upon magnetically simulated rocking of the ring resonator, the Poynting vector of the circulating light oscillates between the two directions of propagation. © 1990.
