MODELING WATER-TABLE MOVEMENT IN DRAINED SOILS WITH DEPTH-DEPENDENT HYDRAULIC CONDUCTIVITY

摘要
A model is presented for the prediction of moving water-table heights in drained soils in which the hydraulic conductivity decreases with depth. The model assumes that the non-steady state water tables approximate to a succession of steady state ones that can be calculated from the known hydraulic conductivity variation, the specific yield and rainfall data. Predicted water tables were in agreement with dipwell measurements on an experimental site on clay soil.
