摘要：

1. 1. The ornithine-urea cycle has been investigated in four cestodes, a trematode, a nematode and an acathocephalan. 2. 2. In no worm was a full complement of ornithine-urea cycle enzymes detected. 3. 3. It is concluded that the synthesis of urea via the ornithine-urea cycle does not constitute a significant part of the nitrogen excretion of these helminths. 4. 4. It is suggested that enzymes of the cycle, where present, may contribute to metabolic processes other than the synthesis of urea. © 1969.
