摘要
Recent advances in the use of variable-energy positrons for studies of solid surfaces have led to the new technique of re-emitted positron spectroscopy (RPS). We present a RPS study of the growth of 0-6 monolayer films of Co on a W(110) substrate, in addition to LEED and Auger electron spectroscopy. The results are consistent with a structural phase transition from pseudomorphic growth to the close-packed hcp Co(0001) structure at one monolayer coverage. © 1990.
