摘要
In a previous paper (Blanco et al. 1991) we experimentally showed how the optical properties of amorphous carbon particles are affected by the presence of hydrogen during their condensation. In the present work we report UV spectra of annealed grains produced in hydrogen-rich atmosphere. The laboratory results support the idea that the interstellar 2175 angstrom feature is due to the extinction produced by amorphous carbon grains dehydrogenated via UV irradiation.
