摘要
The classification of disruptive innovation is a hot topic in the research on disruptive innovation. Based on Christensen's classification of originality, the concept and essence of low-end market and new market disruptive innovation are constantly deepened and refined, but the operational measurement has not been emphasized. In business practice, a specific standard to discriminate such disruptive innovation for the differentiation is urgently required. Based on Govindarajan & Kopalle's research and analyses and combined with the interviews with local manufacturing enterprises in China, low-end market and new market disruptive innovation scales are designed. The effectiveness of the scales is tested by having manufacturing enterprises in China as the research subjects. The results show that low-end market disruptive innovation focuses the measurement on the low-price attraction to existing market customers with disruptive products, while new market disruptive innovation stresses the measurement items on the attraction of disruptive products to non-consumers or potential consumers and the building of new markets. Furthermore, from Corrected Item-total Correlation (CITC), Cronbach Alpha coefficient, and Exploratory and Confirmatory Factor Analysis, Two-Factor Measure Model is effective for low-end market and new market disruptive innovation that it could be the basis for successive relevant quantitative research.
