摘要：

1. 1. There is a depletion of ascorbic acid from the adrenal gland following stimulation by handling. 2. 2. Under similar conditions the response is inhibited in bursectomized birds. 3. 3. The development of hyperglycaemia following an injection of ACTH is delayed in bursectomized birds. 4. 4. It is suggested that bursectomy leads to the fowl becoming more resistant to physiological stress. © 1969.
