摘要
The effect of a high magnetic field(< 14 T) on the intramolecular exciplex fluorescence generated from a phenanthrene and dimethylaniline chain-linked molecule is studied in acetonitrile. On increasing the magnetic field from zero to approximate to 1 T, the fluorescence decay rate decreases steeply and then increases gradually up to approximate to 14 T. The high magnetic field(> 1 T) enhances the singlet-triplet intersystem crossing of an intramolecular radical ion pair intervening in the reaction (Delta g mechanism).
