摘要：

A semi-automated interactive method (BIOCOM) was developed for the morphometric analysis of the peripheral nerve in routine histopathoiogical examination. The human superficial peroneal nerve was used for myelinated fibre measurements. The precision and reproducibility of the results were validated using a manual morphometric method on a digitalizing table. Having compared the two methods, we believe that the semi-automated method constitutes an interesting alternative to traditional methods.
