Comment on the interpretation of the photo-electron spectrum of mercury

摘要
It is shown experimentally that a step in the photo-electron stopping curve of mercury, suggesting an ionization potential at 20.73 eV, is due to a resonance between impurity lines from the light source anti transitions to autoionizing states of mercury.
