In pea (Pisum sativum), the gene wsp is unlinked to the segment containing the genes tl, r, and bt. The wsp‐sil segment and the wa‐oh segment were found to be located in separate satellite chromosomes. A study of the meiotic configurations appearing in crosses between translocation lines, combined with linkage studies, indicates that the linkage segments: a‐d, wa‐oh, b‐st, le‐v, gp‐tl, p‐wlo, and wsp‐sil belong to independent linkage groups.
