摘要
The thermal stability in a superplastic Si3N4(p)/Al-Mg alloy (5052) composite produced from rapidly solidified powder was investigated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The DSC analyses revealed that the melting point of the composite was lower than that of rapidly solidified powder of the matrix material. It is suggested from the agreement between the optimum superplastic temperature and the melting point of the composite that a liquid phase plays an important role in superplastic deformation of the Si3N4(p)/Al-Mg alloy composite.
