摘要
A new liquid furanosesquiterpene, C15H18O, named lindenene, has been isolated from the roots of Lindera strychnifolia Vill. Its structure and stereochemistry have been assigned on the basis of spectral evidence and its conversion into isodihydrodehydroxylinderene by reduction with sodium-ammonia. Lindenene is the fundamental skeleton for the selinane type furanosesquiterpenes having a cyclopropane ring.
