EFFECT OF ECDYSTERONE ON CYCLIC-AMP AND CYCLIC-GMP IN MOUSE PLASMA

摘要
Cyclic [c] nucleotide levels were determined in mouse plasma at several times after the administration of ecdysterone. cAMP exhibited a significant decrease after 40 min; an inverse pattern of variation was exhibited by cGMP. The heterophyllic action of ecdysterone in mammals could be mediated through the cAMP system. These results could also support the relationship between the ecdysterone and the cAMP-protein kinase system and the synchronous variations undergone by cAMP and cGMP described in several biological systems.
