摘要
After proper wetting, the measured polarization resistance was found to be higher and closer to the actual value than that measured without using any wetting. Reproducibility of the measurements is significantly improved by making measurements only after a stable corrosion potential is achieved, the concrete surface is made planar, and the probe is symmetrically positioned over the rebar. A measurement procedure that gives reliable and reproducible results is presented. The significance of this work for on-site polarization resistance determinations is discussed.
