THIN-FILMS OF PHTHALOCYANINES STUDIED WITH SPECTROSCOPIC ELLIPSOMETRY - AN OPTICAL GAS SENSOR

摘要
Thin films of tetrasulphonated copper phthalocyanine have been studied with respect to NO2/N2O4(NOx) sensitivity. The films (≈90 Å) are prepared by spin casting on gold. The dielectric function of the films is measured with a rotating analyser spectroscopic ellipsometer in the photon energy range 1.5 to 4.5 eV. The response to short pulses of NOx has been studied in order to present a prospect for an optical gas sensor. Irreversible changes in the optical response of the film due to exposed gas are also observed. © 1990.
