摘要
Negative and positive biases of up to 225 V and 125 ms duration have been applied to the main limiter during steady discharges in the TdeV tokamak. We focus on recycling, impurity influx and plasma purity, as measured by mass spectrometry, line emission of low ionisation states and bremsstrahlung emission. With negative (positive) biasing, recycling and impurity influx tend to decrease (increase). CO production is most directly correlated with the bias, and is likely due to ion-induced desorption from the wall. The Z(eff) radial profile is modified. Particle transport is apparently reduced under negative biasing.
