NMR-STUDY ON THE QUANTUM SPIN EFFECT OF THE 1D MAGNET IN HIGH MAGNETIC-FIELDS

摘要
The quantum spin effect is one of the most interesting phenomena in the physics of low dimensional magnetic systems. Nuclear magnetic resonance in high magnetic fields is a powerful tool to study such quantum effects from the microscopic point of view, because the local fields probed by NMR give rich information on the magnetic system. We have performed NMR studies under magnetic fields up to 15 T to elucidate the quantum effect of one-dimensional magnets, namely NENP (S = 1 antiferromagnetic chain) and CsCuCl3 (S = 1/2 ferromagnetic chain).
