CHARGE-TRANSFER FLUORESCENCE AND CHARGE TRANSFER PHOSPHORESCENCE OF ELECTRON DONOR - ACCEPTOR COMPLEXES OF ORGANIC CATIONS WITH AROMATIC HYDROCARBONS

Molecular complexes of arornatic hydrocarbons and cationic organic accep-tors were investigatod in many casos8-13. The fluorescence and phosphorescence spectra of electron—donor—acceptor-complexes of N-methyl-9-chloracridi-nium {MCIA)+ and of 2,4,6-trimethyl-pyrylium (TMP)+ with anthracene, pyrone and naphthalene were studied at—170°C in glassy Solution (butyro-nitrile + 5 to 10 vol.-% butyl acetate). © 1969, Walter de Gruyter.
