摘要
Amylase derepressed mutants of Schwanniomyces occidentalis CSIR-Y993 were obtained with UV light and NTG as mutagens, using a starch medium containing 2-deoxyglucose as repressor for mutant isolation. One outstanding mutant, designated mutant B53, was selected which possessed six-fold higher alpha-amylase and glucoamylase activities, while its debranching activity was five-fold higher than that of the parental strain. Amylase production by this mutant in batch cultures was investigated.
